When I began this program, I couldn’t believe the promise of losing 20 pounds in 90 days. I had tried countless diets, experiencing minimal weight loss without any long-term success. Before starting, I faced hot flashes, hip pain, disrupted sleep, and had a pre-planned family vacation to St. Martin just 30 days into the program.
By day sixteen, I had already lost 7.4 pounds. Adjusting to the program was not difficult – swapping ingredients for program-approved ones was easy and integrating new foods during each phase became exciting. When the 30-day mark arrived, I took my scale and program supplies on vacation with me. After returning a week later, I had manage to lose an additional 0.6 pounds while on vacation!
The real challenge was breaking free from the emotional attachment to my scale’s numbers. It was easy to celebrate when the numbers decreased but stressful when they increased. Learning to accept that fluctuations are part of the weight loss journey proved challenging at times. However, I persevered and gradually shifted my mindset and trusted the program. It allowed me to understand how different foods and fats affect my body individually. I started to think differently and started to believe in myself!
My initial goal was to overcome mindless emotional eating and become confident in my own skin. As the program progressed, not only did my body change but also my perceptions of myself and food. For the first time in years – maybe ever – I felt in control of my weight and developed a newfound belief in myself.
As I neared the end of my 90-day challenge, I remained strictly committed to the plan, even when attempting new and different foods. One day, during a call with my amazing coach Tieva, I experienced an eye-opening moment. She advised me to change things up and try diverse foods to surprise my body. It was time for me to let go of my rigidness and step out of my comfort zone. She told me to, “Eat the ice cream!” Those words really hit home since ice cream is my ultimate favorite food. From that moment on, I knew I needed to loosen up and experiment more with off-plan foods to see how my body reacted. I also understood the importance of not putting so much pressure on myself to lose a specific amount of weight during these 90 days. Ultimately, my success depended on learning to trust myself in this journey.
After talking with Tieva, I went away for a long weekend and kept her advice in mind. While dining out, I ordered a salad with more ingredients than usual and finished it without worrying about the next day’s scale reading. Surprisingly, I had a significant weight loss that day. Finally, everything began to click.
During my 90-day journey, I lost 24.2 pounds, and since graduating, I’ve lost an additional 4.2 pounds. I had to buy all new clothes, as I’ve gone from a size 12-14 to a 6-8. My hot flashes have nearly disappeared, my sleep has improved, and my hip pain has almost vanished. Due to my weight loss, I had to reduce my thyroid medication. I now genuinely like the way I look and feel more confident; I hardly recognize myself in the mirror! Without this program, achieving such remarkable results in such a short time would be impossible.
Ending my 90-day routine made me nervous because submitting journals and consulting with my coach had kept me accountable. It was now time to rely solely on myself and I know that I can because this program has not only transformed me physically but also changed my perspective on food and eating habits. Understanding that eating healthily and mindfully for five days a week, using the newly acquired tools from this program tailored to my individual needs, while allowing myself two days to enjoy life without restrictions, such as having a piece of cake or a cocktail, is truly liberating. Knowing that I am in control of my weight – even when I deviate slightly – gives me confidence that I can quickly get back on track using the tools I have learned. This program is a game changer, and I am incredibly grateful for it.
An additional note: I wanted to share a personal experience regarding the inflammation webinar that led me to this program. Initially, I joined the webinar seeking help for my daughter, who has been dealing with gut issues and relying on laxatives for over five years.
