Roasted Chickpeas

We talk about food with our patients on a daily basis. Thankfully, one of us started writing down all of our favorite recipes and we want to share some of them with you!

Here is one from Tieva, our Program Manager!

“I love this recipe because it’s quick, you can add any of your favorite spices and they’re high in fiber and protein. Pro-tip when making these cook at 400 degrees and shake the pan half way through baking! Also on a cold day I like them a little soft and warm so I pull them out early.”

Ingredients:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
Blot chickpeas with a paper towel to dry them. In a bowl, toss chickpeas with olive oil, and season to taste with salt, garlic salt, and cayenne pepper, if using. Spread on a baking sheet, and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, until browned and crunchy. Watch carefully the last few minutes to avoid burning.
